It's The End Of The World As We Know It

Don't do it. DON'T YOU SING IT! You DO NOT feel fine. Or if you do, why aren't you sharing whatever is making you feel fine.
When you're swimming through a septic system looking for the ladder, first WHY ARE YOU SWIMMING IN SHIT??? Second, keep your mouth closed and keep swimming.
Knowing why things suck isn't the same as taking action to make them not suck. If you know why, the question is "Can you control it?" Next question is "Can you have any marginal impact on it?"
I'm feeling very Lenny Bruce right now. I need a mic, a drink and a spotlight to speak truth to power.
1) You won't silence me without a felony.
2) Your lack of self awareness doesn't relieve you of your responsibility to society.
3) Neither does your god or religion. People are the only beings who can forgive.
4) If you follow a theos, it better include taking care of the vulnerable and generally not being a dick.
5) No billionaires give a shit about you. Same goes for millionaires and there are many more of them.
This next period of time will hurt. Sanity will be tested, so much misinformation and bullshit will be spread in the United States and our laundry, the soiled, stained and foul smelling laundry, will be hung out for the entire world to see. At best it will be embarrassing and uncomfortable, at worst it will destroy our homeland, our allies and possibly the entire world. Those making decisions that will impact our lives and the generations to come are unqualified, amoral and arguably psychotic. For Christ's sake, they think they can colonize Mars in our fucking lifetime. Honestly, I wish they'd go try and leave the Earth to those who give a shit. Please go on that thousand year journey and leave us alone.
I have spent 2.5 decades since finishing college working towards common good, helping treat symptoms and diseases, to make things better for those who need help. Working in pharma isn't fancy, it is a slog of egos, failures and paperwork. Lots of paperwork. If you're not considered among the best and brightest, you get used and tossed to the side when companies decide they no longer need or want you. No matter how hard you work or how smart you are, there is always someone either better or more scheming to get attention. The best you can hope for is some successes, healthier patients, a little bit of acknowledgement andlongevity. All together, that's a good career. It is all but certain the people you help will never know who you are or what part you played.
The best we can do now, at this moment is make our voices heard in the public square. And shove it in others faces that they are failing. Their party is failing, they are destroying the thing they claim to want to protect, including themselves. JFC why couldn't these people have had cooperative games when they were little instead of Monopoly and Risk. I thought we all learned from Oregon Trail NOT to die from dysentery.
And finally, the person with the most money is never the smartest. Ponder that one for a bit.
